Just before summer, I decided that it was time to slim down and get in shape for bikini season, I worked hard for 2 months and honestly felt great during the summer months. In order to get my shape just right, I even went for some laser liposuction at my local clinic, you should check out the Sono Bello reviews to see more about them.
As is usually the case , the summer months are fraught with temptation and it didn’t take me too long to return to a similar shape that I was before I went on my health kick in ear May.
Usually after the summer, as the colder months begin to come around, I opt to avoid any kind of healthy eating and instead settle in for a few months of hearty cooking and staying indoors, but not this year. This year I have decided to make it my mission to turn October into a healthy month, and here are just a few reasons why.
Christmas is Coming
I am ready and willing to accept that during the Christmas season, I eat like a pig, I fill my face with all of the joys of the holiday season from candy to sugary treats, meats, cheeses and everything in between, not forgetting the alcohol of course. I am happy to accept that for a month I won’t be living healthily and instead of plumping up before this, I have decided that October gives me the perfect chance to slim down before the Christmas indulgence begins.
Quiet Gyms
January is notorious for the gym being packed to the rafters and so too are the months leading up to summer. In order to avoid these busy times then, October is a great time to hit the gym. During these months, it is pretty rare to find anyone other than the regular gym-goers and this means that you can get access to the machines that you want and you don’t feel pressured in the gym with a hundred eyes on you. I am not overly confident when it comes to the gym and I like to take things at my own pace.
Hearty and Healthy
Earlier I alluded to the fact that I love to eat comfort food during the fall months and as it gets colder, I crave dishes like stews and hot soups. The beauty of this is actually that while we may refer to it as comfort food, many hearty dishes are not actually very high in fat. Most comfort food meals which you can knock up in the fall, have their basis in seasonal veggies such as squash, pumpkin, zuchini, courgettes and carrots, all hearty and all healthy. Just because you want a meal to warm you up, does not mean that it should fatten you up too!
October is going to be my new health kick month, why don’t you join me!
