How to Choose Your First Motorcycle

How to Choose Your First Motorcycle

Many wonders which bike to choose, especially new riders. Let’s talk about choosing your first motorcycle and discuss some great options for beginners.

The joy of riding a motorcycle increases day by day and riders just can’t get enough. Curiosity about other bikes may increase in line with the joy as a motorcyclist, but everyone has to start somewhere. The level of experience, height and body shape is crucial to how the rider fits on various bikes. The most important thing is having fun while driving.

If you’re not sure about how to finance your new bike, our advice is to use a loan calculator to calculate how much you can afford on a down-payment.

Yamaha Cruiser

A cruiser is the first-choice for many new riders, probably because they’ve been dazzled by watching American movies. Driving into the sunset on a roaring cruiser is the embodiment of MC life.

A great choice is the Yamaha XVS1300 Cruiser. It’s easy to settle into and offers an incredible driving experience.

Harley Davidson Sportster

The Harley Davidson Sportster family are known to be the beginners of the Harley’s. They’re easy to drive, willing to execute orders without hassle and offer a great driving experience. The footrests are located just below the seat, so you don’t have to drive feet first.

As you gain more experience, you’ll probably want to upgrade to a more advanced bike. One isn’t necessarily better than the other, because what suits a beginner doesn’t always suit an experienced rider.

Hyosung GT

You won’t find a cheaper bike than this. Hyosung GT is a full bread racer, with many of the same qualities you’ll find on the 1000 cubes that costs four times as much.

The Hyosung GT 250 R is a great first-time bike for those who like sporty models. The design allows for active driving on your favourite roads, handling those close turns without problems.

BMW Xchallenge

Another economic bike and a good choice for those who want to drive German. BMW has many exclusive models, but also economic choices for first-time riders.

Crossover model Xchallenge is just as suitable for commuting to work, as for an evening drive on a dirt road. Check out the BMW G650 Xchallenge if you’re looking for a beginner’s bike.

Which Bike is Recommended for Beginners?

The answer is very simple, but at the same time frustrating. You should choose the motorcycle you feel is the best choice for you. Maybe you have become accustomed to the school bike and want one for yourself? Or maybe you saw a picture of an awesome vehicle, and want to learn more about it?

Most riders have made up their mind from day one. Either you have a soft spot for a cruiser, or maybe you have envisioned long trips on a so-called adventure bike. Others may want to go all the way with an R-bike.

Financial Matters

When it comes to choosing a motorcycle, how to finance it is just as important as which model you choose. Buy the motorcycle you can afford, but remember that you get what you’ve paid for. Get a great offer for MC-loan here.

Emotions cannot be bought, which is why riders who’ve fallen for a certain model will pay the price. Remember that first-time riders usually upgrade their bikes as they become more advanced riders.
