Star Cursed is the second book in The Cahill Witch Chronicles. The first book is Born Wicked, and if you haven’t read it, DO IT NOW!

Star Cursed was even better than the first book. Oh goodness is was so good! So good!

The Cahill Witch Chronicles is about three sisters, and you guessed it… they are witches. They live in a society where girls are often accused and prosecuted for being witches by The Brotherhood. Being a witch is not something that you go around telling people. But really The Brotherhood doesn’t care if you are a “witch” or not, just disagreeing with them is enough to have them locking you up and throwing away the key. Luckily the three sisters in this story, Cate, Maura & Tess, have been able to keep their talents hidden from The Brotherhood.

Star Cursed starts up where Born Wicked left off and after that tear-jerking ending I couldn’t wait to see what happened to these characters next. I thought the ending to Born Wicked was surprising, that is until I got to the ending of Star Cursed, this one just about killed me. Actually, I think it did kill a little piece of me!

We learn more about The Sisterhood in this one and it’s inner workings, which I thought were a bit fascinating. There were characters that I hated in the first book, but ended up liking this time around and vice versa. Ugh Maura. Seriously I just wanted to slap her something silly. And poor little Tess.

This next part is a bit spoilery so go ahead and skip to the next paragraph. I was so excited to see Cate and Finn resume their relationship… at least for a little while. SOBS.

This was such a great addition to this series, I am DYING for the next book. I was such an emotional wreck reading this one, there was SO MUCH TENSION! (And yet I couldn’t stop reading.) If you’re looking for something a little different that you’re typical witch story, pick this series up!
