I don’t usually read books significantly before their release dates. A lot of it has to do with me getting excited about the book and then trying to hold off my review closer to around the release date. I’ve waited about all I can with Through the Ever Night. So here it is!
Through the Ever Night is book two, so if you haven’t read Under the Never Sky, you should get on that. Seriously. I waited to read Under the Never Sky and I wished I had to read soooo much sooner! This is one of those books that I recommend all the time because I don’t feel like I hear enough about it and it’s fabulous!
I’d describe book one as Aria’s book, and in her adventures she meets Perry. And that’s all I really want to say about book one. Just read it. In book two we get Perry’s book! It starts just as Under the Never Sky left off. I’m happy to say that this book does not suffer from book two syndrome. There is plenty of happening with our characters and the plot. No book two blues here people!
The characters that you fell in love with in book one, you’ll love them even more in book two. One word for you readers, Roar. I love Roar. It was so great to see him through Perry’s perspective. He is one of my favorite characters in all of YA literature! There is just something about him.
Even some of the characters I hated in book one, I found myself intrigued with in book two. In addition to a new cast of characters that you’ll also meet. We finally get to interact with Perry’s sister too! She wasn’t what I was expecting, and I liked her more for it. I wouldn’t describe any of the characters as under developed. They are all fully dimensional and I find that can be rare at times. I know them. I feel confident in stating that I loved this book even more than the first. Even though I didn’t think that would be possible.
I love this world, the characters, the action, the adventure, the romance, the heartache, the writing, everything. If you don’t have any plans this winter break, make a date with Aria and Perry. You will not be disappointed!

I’ve been waiting to read this book since I finished reading Under the Never Sky. I’m so happy to hear how much you loved it! Hopefully I’ll love it just as much when I read it. I definitely feel that Under the Never Sky doesn’t get the kind of recognition it deserves. It’s one of my all time favorites.

Hey there! Awesome that you loved book two so much, I liked Under the Never Sky…just found it a bit boring at times, but fell in love with the characters once I read the novella, Roar and Liv! That was just what I needed to really connect with the characters and get engaged in the story
I can’t wait to get my hands on this book!
