Definitely read Slide- it’s a quick read too! I was so excited when I got Imposter in the mail.

As for Wasteland, it’s funny that it reminded you of the Gone series cuz it actually reminded me of the Wither series because people die early there too. Hm, will have to see what kind of twist they put on it.
