My fave fairy-tale… so hard to just pick one – who doesn’t love Snow White!? but I love Little Red Riding Hood and all the different versions of it too!
I’ve been watching the new TV show, Once Upon a Time! They are doing wonders with combining all different fairy-tales into one! I really need to brush up and go back to reading my Grimm books as well!

The Little Mermaid followed closely by The Beauty and the Beast. I really love fairy tales and retellings! I don’t think I knowing where a story is going compared to enjoying the creative way of arriving there. If that makes sense!!

Modernized/Disneyized is probably Sleeping Beauty.
Traditional is more difficult. They’re all really creepy, so I don’t know if I have a favorite.

I would have to say that my favorite fairy tale growing up would have to be the Little Mermaid or Beauty in the Beast. I use to curl up on the couch and watch the movies with my little sister, or read her the stories!

Peter Pan, definitely! I was obsessed with that story when I was younger. My grandpa was afraid I was going to jump off a roof or something, thinking I could fly. (It’s not that I’m that dumb, my grandpa’s just a worrywart haha)

I have heard awesome things about this book, and I am way too excited to read it. After reading it, I could put the signed copy in my office. And when co-workers walk by, they’ll be all, “What’s that?” And I’ll say, “Just the awesomest thing ever, loser.” And they’ll be all offended and whatever, but I’m pretty sure they’ll also go buy the book right away.

It’s probably the most quotable as well. My favorite line: “All the better to eat you with, my dear.”

My favorite fairy tale? Hmmm…I really like Hansel and Gretel! And the Little Mermaid- the one where she turned into sea foam. I was also keen on the Cinderella Disney movie (probably because of the adorable mice). And I loved Robin Hood, but I don’t think that’s really considered a “fairy tale”.

It’s hard to pick a favourite fairytale, partly because I’m not a huge fan of them. But out of all, I have to say I like Cinderella the most. What can I say, I’m a hopeless romantic! Which is all the more reason why I want to read Cinder SO BAD.

I like whichever version of Beauty and the Beast is the one where Beauty has to go on a quest to fix the Beast. And I love fairy tale adaptations into books, movies, and TV shows (Once Upon A Time, anyone?), so I’m really excited to read this book!

I think my favorite fairy tale would have to be either Beauty and the Beast or The Little Mermaid. Disney had a lot to do with both of those choices. lol. Even as a child I could not resist wanting that library in the Beast’s house for myself!
Tangled has me wanting to read the original Rapunzel story, though. I don’t remember how that one goes beyond the tower and the hair.

Hmmm . . . We have this collection of Russian fairy tales that I really like. I also have this collection I found at Michael’s that has fairy tales from all over the world and they’re really nice. If I had to pick one favorite . . . The Goose Girl, as retold by Shannon Hale. Or! Or Wildwood Dancing, based on teh twelve dancing princesses. Oh darn. I can’t pick one.

Cool contest! Heard lots of great stuff about this book.
I was always a fan of Peter Pan, even though he’s not a traditional fairy tale character, but a Victorian creation. Still, he’s my favorite. Maybe because I won’t grow up.
