What do guys and girls really think? Twelve of the most dynamic and engaging YA authors writing today team up for this one-of-a-kind collection of “he said/she said” stories-he tells it from the guy’s point of view, she tells it from the girl’s. These are stories of love and heartbreak. There’s the good-looking jock who falls for a dangerous girl, and the flipside, the toxic girl who never learned to be loved; the basketball star and the artistic (and shorter) boy she never knew she wanted; the gay boy looking for love online and the girl who could help make it happen. Each story in this unforgettable collection teaches us that relationships are complicated-because there are two sides to every story.
I was able to participate in a short interview with Editor of Girl Meets Boy, Kelly Milner Halls.
What did you like most about going from your nonfiction books to writing and editing a YA?
I have long been a YA reader — a fan of young adult literature. So joining the YA ranks is the best part of adding GIRL MEETS BOY to my resume of nonfiction books, without a doubt. To stand with such brilliant story tellers is an honor and a thrill. I hope it’s the first of many, but I still love writing nonfiction, too. Understanding MISUNDERSTANDING better.
Describe Girl Meets Boy in three words.
Understanding MISUNDERSTANDING better.
What is something about Girl Meets Boy that we may not know just from reading the blurb?
Each of the twelve writers created their stories long before we had a publisher or an advance to share. They did the work purely on speculation, before Chronicle Books stepped in to bring the stories to life.

I so want to know how guys think because all guys think that girl’s need a training manual and all we care about is our looks while they want to get in our pants. I want to know what they think about crushing on someone and see how hard they fall.
Thank you for the giveaway!!!

I prefer reading from the perspective of girls.

I think is equal, because the girls usually tell a story and you can feel the emotions the intensity of what they feel, and I would really like to know how the boys think, but since every head is a world, I don’t think it will work as a parameter for future references, lol. But it sounds like it’s an interesting reading!

Haha, both. I don’t know much about how boys think, so that’ll be exciting, but I also know that girls often (usually) think differntly than me, so that’ll be cool too.
The cover is gorgeous! I think it will be a great read.
Of course I want to see a love story from the boy’s point of view!
DUHHH!!!
I’ve read one book from a guy’s point of view, and that was ‘No More Us For You’ by David Hernandez.(Written in both perspectives.)
It was ridiculously good. So I looked for more love stories written by boy’s point of view, and I couldn’t find one. So, being the dramatic whiny b that I am, I spiraled into a long depression for days.
Being a romance (especially insta-love) fan, I’ve read a lot of YA books from the girl’s point of view. I’ve read some guy’s point of view, but that was from psychological thrillers (which I also love). Since I haven’t actually experienced love myself, the thing that interests me the most is how guys feel about it. Will it stay lovey-dovey, goo-goo eyes? Will he still be obsessed with sex? Will he still have a dirty mind?
Questions, questions.
But can somebody explain the contest to me? Do you have to enter it on WattPad?

The Boys POV:)
It really depends on the book for me. Sometimes I love that it’s the girls POV and other times I wish it would be from the boy POV. I love when they take a book and make a section (or all of it) from a boys POV after you read the book already. I LOVE the switch!!
