I have been OBSESSED with the Penguin Deluxe Classics ever since I saw a post about how the person made it! She really did embroider the books by hand, they’re so beautiful. I’m in awe! I adore the French flaps too! You almost have them all, you just need Black Beauty now. :)

That’s awesome about your quote being in The Iron Knight! I really need to get on reading these books but I only got halfway through the first one. I love the UK cover of The Future of Us a lot more than the US, it’s so colourful! That blog tour should be lots of fun, looking forward to it.

I was really disappointed with The Future of Us. Not even from the “I love this author and I know they both write amazing books” kind of way, but the “Wow, I really DID NOT like this book” kind of way. So upsetting because I has SUCH high expectations of it.

  22. The Secret Garden is also one of my favorites – I have Tasha Tudor edition, and I cherish it so much since my mother gave it to me knowing how much I loved the story. I would be completely down for classics month! I like Emma, but my absolute favorite Austen is Persuasion – I think it resonates better than the others by Austen as we get older.

Don’t ever stop doing IMM. Everything that has ever been worth doing has received criticism in some form or another. You doing IMM is such a great benefit to readers so we know what awesome books to put on our to-read lists! People can be cynical and see it as showing off, but I prefer to see the glass as half-full and see it as a way to share great books with readers that they might want to put on their TBR piles. There are always bitter people out there who will spin things in a negative way.

I know you deal with a lot of backlash from snarky people, but what you do is a great service to readers. Keep it up!

Oh, and I loved the little glimpse of Xander in the the middle of the video. That dog is just a giant teddy bear isn’t he? :)

    Awesome books!!

I’m super excited for the DAC! I got The Princesses of Iowa this week and it’s SO hard to leave it sit till the first so it can qualify for the DAC!

I’m so glad you decided to keep doing IMM, I’ve found so many awesome books from hoping to other people’s IMMs that I never would have found if there was no IMM.

It’s sad that it gets backlash, there is a right way and a wrong way to do an IMM, and I haven’t seen any are bragging. Sadly, a lot of people I think at least mistake excitement for bragging.
