Struck by Rhonda Stapleton (Includes: Stupid Cupid, Flirting with Disasters, and Pucker Up!)

Felicity Walker believes in true love. That’s why she applies for a gig at the matchmaking company Cupid’s Hollow. But when Felicity gets the job, she learns that she isn’t just a matchmaker…she’s a cupid! (There’s more than one of them, you know.)

Armed with a hot pink, tricked-out PDA infused with the latest in cupid magic (love arrows shot through email), Felicity works to meet her quota of successful matches. But the path to love is not always a straight shot…

My family’s very small and don’t have really have any traditions. We get a tree, decorate it and that’s about it. My sister and I do have a tradition of going for a run on Christmas day with Santa hats!

We don’t have many traditions, to be honest. I guess maybe just roasting marshmallows in our fire place during Christmas. :)

My parents would buy each of us kids an ornament that represented something big that happened in our lives in the past year. We’d open them up on Christmas Eve and put them on the tree.

I have a very small family, so our traditions aren’t huge, but we do gather the people we have for Christmas…so I guess that counts. And my mother and I set a date to watch “Love Actually” every year.

My favorite holiday tradtion has to be secret santa. Every year my brother, sister, and I put our names in a hat, and whoever’s name we draw, we have to get a gift for them. Sometimes our friends in the neighborhood joins in and plays with us. Even though we all know who has which person, it’s still fun. Don’t tell her, but this year I got my sister :)

My family gets a dated silver bell each year, so decorating the Christmas tree includes telling a story from the year of every bell <3

My family participates in the “Feast of the Seven Fishes” every Christmas Eve, which is an Italian tradition where we eat a ton of seafood dishes. I love how traditional it is, and how my family makes it our own every year.

We have a lot of Christmas traditions — it’s tough to choose! But I love the German tradition of piling plates (called “bunte teller”) high with all kinds of treats — cookies, chocolate, fruit, candies — and snacking from them throughout Christmas Eve (which is when we open presents). They’re delicious :D

Every Christmas Eve my family does our evening of Christmas goodies, maybe watch some Miracle on 34th St (my favorite holiday movie!), and sometimes eat some latkes. (I’m Jew(ish) but the latkes are the extent if it!). Then Christmas day we do stockings and then visit family and eat yummy Chinese food (because I’m also Asian-this one isn’t because I’m Jew(ish)).

My favorite holiday tradition has to do with our Advent calendar. It’s a homemade wall hanging made of felt and velcro, with a Christmas tree in the middle and pockets with numbers of the days until Christmas and little children from all over the world. Each day as kids, we stuck another child on the Christmas tree. Such a nice reminder of how diverse our world really is.
