With it being the holiday weekend here in the U.S. I thought I’d do something a little bit different today (actually I’m just being LAZY!) and share with you some of my favorite reading spots!
The bathtub. I enjoy soaking in a hot tub while reading a good book! I have yet to accidentally drop one in. Hopefully that will never happen. No, this is not my tub, but someday I will have this tub, or one similar to it! They even have a tub with a built in bookcase….
My couch. I’m a frequent couch reader. I usually have a blanket and like to sit in the corner of the couch that is closet to the light. Good lighting is essential for reading. And yes that actually is my couch, and every one’s favorite Rott, Xander.
The backyard. I don’t like to be stuck inside all the time, so if it’s nice outside I like to head to the backyard and park it in my hammock with a good book. It’s a beautiful day today and most likely right now, I am out side in my hammock reading Dull Boy.
The bed. I love reading in the coziness that is my bed! Winding down from the day, or waking up, but not feeling like getting out of bed, both of those are times I enjoy catching up on my reading pile. And no, that’s not my actual bed. I though this one looked whimsical and fairy tale like!

I actually put up a post like this a couple of days ago. My favorite place to read is either on my bed or outside with my horse. You let Xander on your couch? My mother would kill and the dog if he got on the couch! 0.o
my favorite place to read is in my living room. There’s a huge front window that lets in a lot of natural sunlight, so it’s very relaxing to sit and read there. I usually lie on my couch with my legs dangling off the armrest.
I do like to read in the bathtub!
My usual spot is in the bed, which is not a good thing because I tend to get too comfortable and fall asleep.
I read in several places, my favorites is the big comfy chair at my neighborhood coffeehouse, and the library YA section and my bed.
Xander looks as though he isn’t about to let you sit closer to the light. Like perhaps that’s HIS side of the couch… Hmm. (Jinx snuggles up next to me when I read on my couch!)
I’m a couch or bed girl, myself. I have tried reading in the bathtub but it always feels awkward and I have to worry about not dropping the book.. too much anxiety for me when I should be relaxing!
Yes, X is a couch hog… he likes to lay in your lap when your sitting on the couch and not just his head, he tries to lay his whole body on you!

I also like reading in the tub although my husband thinks I’m crazy!
My favorite place to read though is my oversized chair even though I sit in the corner only, with a dog on the ottoman taking up most of the space. Another place is in the porch swing on a nice day.
I love to read in bed. I’d love it even more if I had that bed though!

I really only read in my room and on the couch. Though, I’ll read pretty much anywhere as long as the lighting is good and it’s not too loud.
My bed is pretty much the only spot I read when I’m home. It’s where I’m most comfortable.
I will really read every (except for a moving vehicle – I get car sick) however, surprisingly my favourite spot is probably in a chair where I can put my feet up. I know that sounds really weird but it’s actually quite relaxing!
Well I have never tried reading in the bath tub but I read in my rocking chair, with my feet up!

I mostly read in my bed. I’ll read anywhere, though (living room, kitchen, car, at the computer, etc). I don’t take baths so no reading in there.

I am mostly a bed reader, or a porch reader. Though I read on my lunch hour at work a lot so I wind up reading in my car (while not in motion) too.
I can’t read in bed–I’ll fall asleep! I love reading outside on the lawn, or on my couch. And btw, that is one AWESOME tub!

I used to love reading in the tub, but I don’t much take baths anymore (no shower for four years, I’m still addicted to it, lol), and I never dropped a book in either. There was actually one time that I was reading and looked down to see a GIANT brown spider floating next to my shoulder. I screamed, THREW my book onto this ledge thing at the end up the tub, and was out and wrapped in a towel at the other side of the bathroom in seconds.
I love to read anywhere, but prefer to be curled up w/ my dogs & cats… while honey is playing one of his games. lol.
No wrestling while I'm… Shhh! Reading. lol.
My mom thinks Xander is so adorable.
