Initiation by Susan Fine (PB/Flux/May 2009)
Susan is a member of Class of 2k9. For some reason I love the cover for this one. I mean it’s a tie so automatically when I look at it, I think: school uniform, boarding school. But wait the tie is upside down… like a noose. Which makes me think of something along the lines of: death, strangulation, struggle, confusion, survival! And from what I get from the synopsis that’s what the books about to, talk about a picture being worth a thousand words. Looking forward to reading this one.
I also got a PB copy of The Sweet Far Thing by Libba Bray, which I reviewed when I first started blogging! You can see that review here. For those of you waiting for the Paper Back version of The Sweet and Far Thing, it will be available April 28, 2009!
And lastly a PB copy of Love, Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli. I haven’t read the first book Stargirl, but luckily my sister had a copy of it, so I stole it from her while I was over there yesterday. You can pick up your own Paper Back copy of Love, Stargirl on April 28, 2009.

Mine is a two parter this week, well because I’m nuts.
I never get books for my birthday either, for the very same reason! I usually buy myself about $100 of stuff from amazon for my birthday though lol!
Great books! I loved both Stargirl and Love, Stargirl. Boy, it took forever for Love, Stargirl to come out in PB.

I LOVE Stargirl and also Love, Stargirl. They are so magical in a non-fantasy way & sweet but not saccharine… two of my favorite YA book ever.
Initiation looks interesting. We got it at work the other day and I’d never heard a thing about it. I think I’ll need to check that one out.

Wow, that Initiation cover does look good. It’s so simple, yet so striking. It really does the job in making me want to give it a look.

I think I might have the sweet and far thing, but it might be rebel angels. It’s a Libba Bray book, I’m sure of that! Lol, but it’s face down right now and I’m too lazy to get up and check. I had the other two, but this one took so long to get here that I had to give them back, so I’ll have to reorder them and sorry for the babbling, it happens when I’m tired.
