HELP!

The YA Book Blog Directory is going great! I think I have around 105 or so blogs posted! I had no idea there were that many! A lot of you were wondering the criteria to be included, which I probably should have mentioned before, I’d like the blogs listed to mostly review Young Adult fiction/nonfiction/manga. When I say mostly I mean more than just a few a month. So more or less, your blog should primarily feature Young Adult book reviews, YA author interview, YA books news, etc… Geez, could I make myself any more unclear!

The YA Author Blogs have taken a back seat for now, while I try to gather all the blogger info. But I hope to have a list of those as well.

A few questions… Do you think a comprehensive list is enough, or should I also have an alphabetical break down? Does anyone have any suggestions for the layout? Colors?

I was thinking of possibly doing a weekly spotlight to feature a different blog… yay or nay?

I’m also thinking about making some buttons for people to post on their own blogs, so that viewers would actually know there is a directory… maybe? Really, I’m just open to any suggestions at this point! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I think a weekly spotlight and a button are great ideas!

I agree with Alea- I love those ideas! You rock for thinking them up. :)

Love the weekly spotlight–that’s an awesome plan!
As for the color scheme–something bright and fun, like light green and pink or light blue and gray. Geometrical, eye-catching, yet simple and not distracting. I think the list should be alphabetical, BTW.

You are so creative, Kristi! Great idea.

this is exactly like the book blogger appreciation week directory but w/e.

i think you should rank blogs by stats. just a directory with no information about the blog content and reach etc is useless and disorienting. you need to be presentable.

What a great idea. I would really like to see a weekly spotlight. Buttons too.

I’m with Alea buttons are always great and I love the idea of a spotlight.

exclusive much? I know several bloggers who review YA but don’t do a ton of reviews each month. or solely focus on YA so that they are doing enough YA reviews a month to get a spot on this list. you want this to be a complete ya blogger directory? then include all the ya bloggers.

I think a comprehensive list is plenty, and this is a completely awesome idea. A weekly spotlight and buttons would also both be fantastic!

Speaking of fantastic/awesome/etc.–I nominated your blog for an award at http://teenbookreview.wordpress.com/2009/01/11/premio-dardos/. ‘Cause I think you’re awesome :-)

I think they are fabulous ideas. If you are busy, I could compile a list of Australian authors if you’d like and send them to you with links?
I am just searching them out myself at the moment so if that is somethin I can offer let me know.

anon: if you would like to list the YA blogs that you think should be listed, i’d love to add them. i haven’t turned anyone down yet! give me a chance at least.
