YA Book Blogger’s Directory

The YA Book Blog Directory, is finally up and running. Well it’s been up for awhile, but I’ve actually gotten a ton of YA Blogs listed (I’m still taking them too, if you want yours added). I’ve also listed some YA authors on the Author page. This list is still growing, feel free to make suggestions.

There are a few buttons to choose from as well, if you want to add them to your own blog pages. If you would like to submit a design feel free! Thanks to Karin for submitting one! I would appreciate the support, if you wouldn’t mind posting a link or a button or even a post about the directory.

There is also the first Blog Spotlight, Harmony Book Reviews was chosen randomly. If you would like to be featured, please submit your answers to the following questionnaire:

Favorite Book(s):
Favorite Author(s):
Blog Features:
Blog URL:

That way readers can know a little bit about you! Again I’m always open to suggestions, so please feel free. Thanks!

200 Followers….THANK YOU!

WOW! Seriously, WOW! I’m still sick, but I feel so much BETTER! I mean 200 followers! Is that not the most REMARKABLE thing! I’m beyond flattered, I’m speechless even. I can’t even begin to think of the words to properly convey my thanks. I know that I say I do this blog for the love of reading, and honestly I do, I love to read. But it makes it a 100 times better to know that there are people that actually take the time and effort to stop by TSS and care about what I think. So, thank you all so very much.

Yes, We Did.

From the desks of Kristi (http://thestorysiren.com) and Steph (http://reviewerx.blogspot.com):

Hi, people! Rise and shine, lovelies. How are you this fine weekend, I-can-do-whatever-I-want-YAY! morning?

You might notice today is YA Connection day. Well…it is. But. We have some news. For the first time ever—we’re skipping YA Connection this week. It’s not a permanent, indefinite, or hiatus-like situation. It’s just a spur-of-the-moment decision we reached through a late-night email chain in which we both discovered we weren’t up for compiling it. Kristi is sick and it’s super cold where she graces her presence which makes it hard to move, breathe and think. Steph’s classes start on Monday and she’s hoping for one last weekend of freedom to party and do other illicit things, uninterrupted. (And Steph does realize her reason is nowhere near as valid as Kristi’s…)

So—while we’d be very flattered for this sort of reaction—we hope no one is terribly upset. Go back to bed! Rest! Give your tabs a chance to rest!

We’ll still regularly posting, both of us, and we’ll see you with YA Connection again next week.

Kristi & Steph

The Read Carpet Podcast!

The Read Carpet Podcast is LIVE!! Well it’s not really live, but it’s available for your listening pleasure! It seems that my segment had a little technical difficulty (Adele seems to think this is her fault, but I think she did a fabulous job! It’s our first time there is bound to be kinks!)… there is some other stuff going on while I’m talking (slight kink) and unfortunately it seems to skip out here and there (another slight kink)… not to mention I think I sound well, um a little weird (obviously Adele has nothing to do with this, it’s all me!), but hey! I can only get better!

Be sure to check it out. Adele worked her booty off getting it all together! So, THANK YOU ADELE!
