I was online the other day (imagine that) browsing through the abundance of books and I came across a siren inspired book. It got me to wondering how many mermaid themed books are there? I know I haven't seen many. There were quite a few adult themed mermaid books, but these are the ones I could find for the YA audience. I actually haven't read any of them. Which is something I think I will have to rememdy. What about you, any of these covers look familiar?

The Emily Windsnap covers are lovely!
Let me see, I've read...
Ingo (as I remember very, very juvenile and I was never interested in the next 3 in the series)
Kara Dalkey's Water trilogy (good, not great)
Sirena (a long time ago, don't remember it very well)
I want to read Midnight Pearls
and I haven't read any of the others, but I also found The Mermaid Summer, by Mollie Hunter.
such pretty covers! :)
I've heard of Aquamarine but haven't read any of the either.
The Mermaid Chair by Sue Monk Kidd is more adult but still an awesome book. You should read it as well. ;)
I read Midnight Pearls. It was very good; although I love that entire series of retold fairy tales.
And I read Teenage Mermaid. It was an interesting book, with a fascinating setting and plot.

I've seen the Emily Windsnap covers at Target I believe. I've seen Aquamarine the movie :)
I love seeing all of these together!
I LOVE the Ingo series. They are intended for Middle Grade readers and not Young Adult readers, however.
I use to have the first book of the EMily Windsnap, I never got to the other books.
i think i've heard of mermaid summer.... is it fairly new?
and i've heard the mermaid chair is good as well, i'll have to add that to my list.
I read the first emily windsnap book a while back, the teenage mermaid book I vaguely remember reading, and I also read the whole Water trilogy and liked those a lot. :)
I've read Aquamarine. My review is here.
i've read the water books and sirena...probably about 4 or 5 years ago. i remember LOVING the water series- those were prolly sone of my fav middle school books. sirena was good too i think...
i don't think either had especially happy endings. its been a while though. but they were both good, if i remember correctly.
//points to Sirena// I read that about two years ago. I can't recall if I have finished it or not but I remember not liking it so much.
I love these covers but no I haven't read any of them. You're forgetting MaryJanice Davidson's mermaid series!
Lol, this is so cool! Love the theme! ;)
