Melissa Walker is the author for this Thursday's Author Tales! She is the author of the Violet Series, which includes: Violet on the Runway, Violet by Design and Violet in Private. Violet in Private will be released on August 5, 2008! I love this series and if you haven't read it yet, I recommend that you do!
Melissa had an different idea for her Author Tales appearance. Instead of doing a regular blog or interview, Melissa has done a Vlog! I hope you like it, I think it is really cool! And don't forget to sign up for the Monthly Contest by leaving a comment! Tonight July 31st at midnight is the deadline!!

Thanks to the Story Siren for having me! It was a hot and sweaty late July Day in Brooklyn, and I had to drink and iced coffee and hit the bookstore (tough life, I know). Here's what I bought! Love, Melissa

Last time I went to the bookstore was embarrassing. I try to stay away, but it's so tempting. I bought about 30 books. BUT it was at a Half Priced bookstore, so that's 50% better. Like buying 15 books! Haha.

Melissa, I think doing a Vlog was an awesome idea. I love when authors do those, it lets me see another side of them I usually don't. I like to hear the voices behind the writings I suppose you can say.

The Host by Stephenie Meyer (even though I had just finished reading the library's copy a couple days before... I loved it that much!)
And tomorrow I'm going to the bookstore again, of course for the Breaking Dawn release party :D
i just bought a book today, and it's sad b/c i have so much to read still but i can't help it! anyway, it was umm...Spirit by J.D. hightman or something? that might be a little off, but i have an awful memory.
