Melissa Walker is the author for this Thursday’s Author Tales! She is the author of the Violet Series, which includes: Violet on the Runway, Violet by Design and Violet in Private. Violet in Private will be released on August 5, 2008! I love this series and if you haven’t read it yet, I recommend that you do!

I’m glad I’m not the only person who would buy a book a second time because the cover ripped on the first copy. The vlog was a nice change!

Last time I went to the bookstore was embarrassing. I try to stay away, but it’s so tempting. I bought about 30 books. BUT it was at a Half Priced bookstore, so that’s 50% better. Like buying 15 books! Haha.

Melissa, I think doing a Vlog was an awesome idea. I love when authors do those, it lets me see another side of them I usually don't. I like to hear the voices behind the writings I suppose you can say.

I can’t even remember what I bought last time I went to the bookstore. I guess that could be a good thing because I bought so many I can’t remember, or a bad thing because I went last week an can’t remember that far back.

I just read and bought DEATH BY BIKINI. Loved it.
And yes, like you I have a lot of catching up to do with the Twilight series.
This was awesome! I have been wanting to read the Violet series forever! The last books I bought was online at barnes and noble. I got the whole Blue is For Nightmares series, Wake, and uhhh. I can’t remember the rest, there was a few more books.
I loved this vlog! I like hearing what authors are reading, so fun! So, hmmm what book did I just buy. Well I bookmooch alot which is I pay for a book to be sent out so someone pays for a book to be sent to me. Like swapping books through the mail, I count as paying for them it’s just only like 3 buck per book. I can name alot of those. Lets see I just got Peter and the Starcatchers, Geek High and The Girlfriend Project in the last 2 or 3 days. And the last books I actually bought like from a store were Rumours, Wicked Lovely, Ink Exchange, Read My Lips, How To Be Popular and Pretty Little Liars. And yes all on the same day. I read most of them already but I wanted to own them. So as you can see, I am also a big book shopper.
I’ve been waiting to Death by Binkini but seeing the cool cut outs makes me want it even more!

OMG! How fun to see Melissa on camera. Could she be any cuter? And how cute did my book look, too? (Har, har.) Melissa: I can’t believe you bought a SECOND copy! I guess that’s definitely one of the perks of those key-holes in the cover…they rip and then the copy needs to be replaced. (Mwuah, ha ha ha ha!) You know I would have sent you a new one though. I love you that much. But I appreciate the support. Speaking of…my next book purchase will be VIP! Woo hoo. Can’t wait. XO

Loved the vlog! Wish I could afford that many books (that aren’t discount) in one go!
Ok, the last few books that I bought was Forever in Blue the Fourth Summer of the Sisterhood in paperback by Ann Brashares, Fire Study by Maria V. Snyder (book 3 in the Study series,) and both of The Squad books by Jennifer Lynn Barnes.
It was great to see what books that Melissa had bought; I actually own a few of them and haven’t read them yet but will get to them soon, hopefully!
